The Ballad of
Baby Doe

By Douglas Moore and
John La Touche

Dramatizing the true story of the rise and fall of Elizabeth "Baby Doe" Tabor, her husband Horace, and his frist wife Augusta, The Ballad of Baby Doe is one of the few American operas to be in the standard repertory. This historic tale of love, loss, and betrayal is known for its many arias and heartbreaking ending.
